Unified Distilled File Formats (UDiFF)
As per recommendations of SEBI’s Market Data Advisory Committee (MDAC), the formats of data files generated and transferred to the market participants for exchanging and clearing information, by all MIIs in all segments, shall be standardized and harmonized such that it will facilitate ease of doing business in the Indian securities market. The new standardised file formats are named as “Unified Distilled File Formats (UDiFF)”.
Details of UDiFF file formats for Clearing Corporation files applicable for Equity – Cash Market (CM), Futures and Options (FO), Currency Derivatives (CD) and Commodity derivatives (CO) segment are provided as below
- SEBI guidance document having the UDiFF Standards for Generation and Implementation is attached as Annexure A
- File format has been standardized for Trade, STT, CTT, StampDuty, Position, Obligation, Margin, Penalty, Settlement Master reports across Capital Market, Equity Derivatives, Commodity Derivatives and Currency Derivatives segment. The UDiFF format of these reports is provided asAnnexure B
- Sample Reports is provided as Annexure C
